The population of South Africa is about 48,601,098 people. This is quite a large amount of people that live mostly on half of South Africa, so everyone living on land about the size of Texas.

Where do the people live?
Most people occupy the northern half of the country while the southern part is almost inhabitable with its nama karoo, succulet karoo, and fynbos terrain. The largest cities are Cape Town with 3,433,441 residents, Durban with 3,120,282 residents, and Johannesburg with 2,026,469 residents.

Agriculture-- What types of agriculture do they have and what type of diet do they have?
South Africa is a main producer of fruits such as grapes for wine, cereals and grain. Their everyday diet staples consists of tubers and cereals including wheat, barley, millet, and sorghum. Many of these crops can grow in extreme weather conditions and have continued to be a staple in Africans diets till today.

South Africa is sub-tropical and has a generally warm climate so the climate does not have a huge impact on tourism. as for geography of places of visitation, it is generally in the area of habitation in the north and along the ocean edge that is visited most by tourist.
